[Smash Bros. X]

Nice, for what it is

Just goes to show that sometimes a mediocre idea can be overlooked when great graphics are added, and vice versa. Just look at "The Absence of Tomorrow", or any of my movies for the opposite. Overall, it was a dull fight. The whole thing was kind of one sided. Sonic was pretty much all powerful more than half the time, and Mario couldn't do shit to him. Thats kind of boring, I want to see the tides turn back and forth, I don't know about anyone else. It makes for a more exiting fight. In my versus movies, I find that funny dialogue can save a mediocre fight as well as great graphics. It was obviously not needed here, however. Anyway, next time try not to make the match so one-sided. Oh, and a side note: I don't know if you have something against sprite movies or not, I can't tell. My reason for using them is simply that they can help you make quality work in a much shorter time. If they are used well enough, they can be just as good as hand drawn stuff. I'm rambling, so good job, and keep up the good work.

2 reasons for the zero:

1. There was no movie. Just a china man waving his hand.
2. You gave no audio credit to Tai Mai Su, or Tie My Shoe or whatever the name of the guy is. I found this on napster like a year ago. Anyway, don't submit stuff like this.

I have to say, this isn't your best work. The music was pretty horrible. I didn't laugh at all. The whole movie was just lame. Original though, and you got some points for Boy and his Blob. I've been gaming on my old NES as far back as I can remember, and this was one of the first games I played. I like your daft punk music vid a lot better.

But I don't see why this is the number one of all time right now. I can see that some serious work went into this, but its not my kind of movie. Hopefully good stuff will come from you in the future. In the meantime, good effort.

Looks like you just got bored and were fooling around with some sprites. If you want to make sprite movies, you need a full set for each character. That means either finding a sprite sheet and ripping it up, finding a site with a set of clear sprites, or if all else fails, rip them straight from the game. If you want some ideas, look at my stuff. Just don't copy me though. If you really need help finding sprites, I can send you some. And, to restate, your text needs to slow down a lot. At least 40 frames of clearance. I'd be glad to help you if you need it.
